Generally speaking, this area of the Northwest Valley stretches from Bell Road to the south up to north of Happy Valley Road, and from the 303 Freeway to the west and 24th Street and the 51 freeway to the east.   There are several different larger single-family neighborhoods within this area such as Norterra, Arrowhead Lakes, Westbrook Village, Ventana Lakes, Bascom Hills, Apache Peak Ranch, and Anthem.

Arrowhead Ranch is one of the largest subdivisions in the Northwest Valley, and features several smaller communities such as The Vistas at Arrowhead Ranch, Estates at Arrowhead, Arrowhead Manor Estates, Arrowhead Lakes, Arrowhead Estates, Hamilton Arrowhead Ranch & Arrowhead Valley.  Further north and east of Arrowhead Ranch is the subdivision of Desert Peak, a DR Horton master-planned community featuring over 600 single family homes, divided into four distinct “units” or neighborhoods, each with distinctive facades.  Condominium complexes within the Northwest Valley include Kitchell Skypark, Cordillera, Sundance, Woodlake, Avalon Hills and Springs at Yorkshire.

Things To Do: Outdoor activities in the Northwest Valley include the Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve, the Peoria Regional Preserve, the Cave Buttes Recreation Area, Deem Recreation Area, Thunderbird Conservation Park, and the Deer Valley Petroglyph Preserve.  There are dozens of community and neighborhood parks that dot this large area, including Buffalo Ridge Park, Coyote Basin Park, Desert Broom Park, Anthem Park, Terramar Park and Deem Hills Park. Golf courses include the Arrowhead Country Club, Willow Creek Golf Course, Bellair Golf Club, Anthem Golf and Country Club, Glen Lakes, and Paradise Valley Golf Course.

Entertainment options in the Northwest Valley include Wet’n Wild Water Park, Fort Adobe Paintball, Jumpstreet and SkyZone.  The major shopping areas in the Northwest Valley include the Shops at Norterra, Happy Valley Towne Center, Outlets at Anthem, and Arrowhead Town Centre.  There are dozens of smaller shopping centers throughout this area of Phoenix.

Schools: Three school districts serve this area of the Northwest Valley including Paradise Valley Unified School District, Cave Creek Unified School District, and Deer Valley Unified School District.
