Welcome to Fountain Hills

Home to the famous fountain, the community of Fountain Hills is located east of the McDowell Mountains and Scottsdale, and just south of the McDowell Mountain Regional Park. There are several larger neighborhoods within Fountain Hills, including Hidden Hills, SunRidge Canyon, Firerock, Scottsdale Mountain, Sabino Estates, and Fountain View Village. Firerock is a guard-gated community featuring 379 custom homes on half-acre to 2-acre lots.
 
The master-planned community of SunRidge Canyon has single-family homes ranging from 1,400 square feet to custom homes upwards of 6,000 square feet in size. Fountain Hills, AZ While the majority of homes in Fountain Hills are single-family homes, there are also several condominium and townhome complexes including Little Fountain Resort, Monterra Ranch, Quail Run, Balera Townhomes, and Four Peaks.
 

Things To Do

At 500 feet elevation above the Phoenix Valley, Fountain Hills is known for its outdoor activities, especially golf and hiking. The golf opportunities include the FireRock Country Club with an 18-hole Gary Panks’ designed course, which winds through its desert landscape, as well as Eagle Mountain Golf Club with its Scott Miller designed, par-71, 6800-yard course. SunRidge Canyon features a 6823-yard, multiple award-winning par 71 course designed by Keith Foster. For fitness enthusiasts and nature lovers, McDowell Mountain Regional Park is located just four miles north of Fountain Hills and has over 50 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails within its 21,099 acres.
 
Tonto National Park and Saguaro Lake are also located nearby and both offer opportunities for swimming, boating, hiking, and horseback riding. The hallmark of Fountain Hills is the Fountain, of course, which is located in the 64-acre Fountain Park (one of four major parks). The Fountain is higher than the Washington Monument, its full height of 560 feet.
 
The world-famous Fountain runs every hour on the hour for 15 minutes from 9 am-9 pm every day of the week and is propelled by two pumps to its estimated current daily height of 330 feet. Shopping areas include Avenue of the Fountains in downtown Fountain Hills and The Crossings. Eagle Mountain Village Mountain Place and Fountain Hills Plaza, among others. Fountain Hills is known as an artists’ community and features a collection of over 150 pieces of public art that adorn the public places in the community, including downtown streets, plazas, and parks.
