Pinnacle Peak is an area of North Scottsdale is located west of Scottsdale Road, from Happy Valley Road to Deer Valley Road east to Pima and Pinnacle Peak Road. Pinnacle Peak is home to many different types of neighborhoods. For example, Sonoran Highlands is a development within a mile of Troon Country Club that features 78 custom homes built between 1987 and 2009. Arizona Silverado offers single family homes built by Kaufman and Broad in a smaller sized community. These homes range in size from 1,400 to 2,400 square feet. The Pinnacle Reserve is a subdivision located at Miller Road and Happy Valley Road. This gated neighborhood contains single family homes built by Trend Homes in 2000. Custom homes also can be found in the Pinnacle Reserve. The homes in this subdivision range from 2,904 to 6,000 square feet.
Another popular subdivision is Sonoran Hills, with both gated and ungated neighborhoods featuring homes by seven different builders. For example, Entrada De Oro is a gated neighborhood with homes built by Maracay Homes, in six floor plans ranging from 2,628 to 3,277 square feet. Nearby Pavanne, an ungated neighborhood, has homes built by Glen Alden Homes in five floor plans ranging from 2,216 to 3,010 square feet.
Things To Do: Golfers will enjoy the Pinnacle Peak Country Club Golf Course, which features a private, parkland-style championship course. This walkable par-72, 7,030-yard golf course was designed by Dick Turner. Nearby Sonoran Hills Park is a beautiful ten-acre park with amenities such as a softball field, lighted tennis court, two lighted basketball courts, two playgrounds and picnic areas.
Shopping and entertainment options are convenient to the Pinnacle Peak area thanks to its central location near Scottsdale Road. The Shops at Pinnacle Peak and the Desert Village Shopping Center are located within this area. However, Kierland Commons, The Scottsdale Quarter, and Scottsdale Promenade, are all popular shopping destinations that are just minutes away on Scottsdale Road. The larger Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall is further south.
Schools: Paradise Valley Unified, Arizona’s largest school district, serves the Pinnacle Peak area, specifically, Pinnacle Peak Elementary School, Mountain Trail Middle School and Pinnacle High School. All are A rated schools. This area of Pinnacle Peak is approximately 27 miles away from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
