Mesa is the third largest city in Arizona, and is located about 20 miles east of Phoenix.  Mesa has over one hundred distinct neighborhoods, spread out over 133 square miles, including Dobson Ranch, Boulder Mountain, Glenwood Park, Las Sendas, Red Mountain Ranch, Sky Mountain Estates, Thunder Mountain and Whisper Mountain.    The Mountain Bridge community in the foothills of East Mesa features several different gated neighborhoods among 45% open space.  Granite Ridge features Mattamy Homes ranging from 3,015 to 4,249 square feet in size.   There are dozens of condominium and townhome communities within Mesa, such as Coyote Landing, Riverview Park, Dobson Bay Club, and Villa Rialto.

Mesa home photoMesa is known to be a very family-friendly place to live: with several entertainment options, including dozens of parks and museums.   There are over 2,280 acres of parkland within Mesa’s city limits, the largest of which is the 1,146-acre Red Mountain Park which features a lake, playgrounds, as well as a basketball and volleyball court.   Museums in Mesa include the Arizona Museum for Youth, the Mesa Historical Museum, the Arizona Museum of Natural History and the Commemorative Air Force Arizona Wing Aircraft Museum (located at Falcon Field).

Other major destinations in Mesa include Golf Land Sunsplash, the HoHoKam Park (home to the Oakland Athletics spring training) and Sloan Park (home to the Chicago Cubs spring training).   Residents also enjoy the arts and cultural events at the Mesa Amphitheatre and the Mesa Arts Center.

Golfers enjoy the links at one of the dozens of courses in Mesa including the Dobson Ranch Golf Course, Fiesta Lakes Golf Club, Longbow Golf Club, and Painted Mountain Golf Club.   Shopping options within Mesa include the Fiesta Mall, Mesa Riverview and the Superstition Springs Shopping Center.

Mesa is connected to the METRO Light Rail, and is served by the Superstition Freeway (U.S. Route 60), State Route 87, as well as the Loop 202 and the Loop 201.  The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is a smaller airport located in southeastern Mesa.  The public school district that serves the majority of Mesa is Mesa Public Schools.  A small portion of Mesa is served by Gilbert Public Schools and Tempe Elementary Schools.
